Rajendra founded the organisation during the civil war, when schools in the district closed and children walked hours for a single meal. Fifteen years later the programs run year-round.

Solar-powered fencing sends a safe electric pulse through the wire. An animal that touches it feels a short shock and moves away unharmed, protecting harvests from monkeys, boar, elephants and tigers without hurting the wildlife.
Nepal's malnutrition is heavily concentrated: Karnali carries the highest stunting rate in the country, and in Humla it reaches 82 percent. We work in the districts that have faced chronic drought and food deficit for three decades.
In remote Nepal, children attend barefoot in torn clothes, without bags, books or stationery, and eventually stop attending at all. Nearly one in four students aged 15 to 19 is out of school. A kit is often what keeps a child in the classroom.
A registered foundation since 2011, Himalaya Mount Everest Tower grew out of one man's response to Nepal's civil war, a decade of conflict that left children orphaned across the country and villages without the basics of a childhood: food, a first-aid kit, a pencil.
Nepal continues to struggle with illiteracy, poverty and unemployment, but it is also a land of immense cultural richness and the world's most majestic mountains. It is our prime responsibility to help reduce that hardship.
