Our mission team take no salary and pays. Administrative expenses include stationary, ink, stamps and computer-related costs, food are less than 2% of total contributions. We work hard to make sure that donated amount go to help to the neediest children of Nepal.
We are always concerned about empowering local communities’ leaders and using local resources to cover the mission expenses. It is never our goal to create a state of dependency.
We are especially interested in strengthening our work in community development to give villagers the knowledge and tools to be successful in their villages in order to be able to take care their criical children’s needs.
Our current priority is to seek support to the children who have been missing to go to school for two years. We need school uniforms, books, stationary and new shoes for 5 years to 16 grades III to X.
Yes. we are in particular need of journalism, research and internships students who will help documentation, projection the work of our Nepal Mission by telling the stories to the World. And you just simply need permission from the organization and we can arrange further help whatsoever you may need from us.
The main food that Nepalese eat is “dal-bhat and tarkari” which is rice, lentils and curry (spiced of course to taste). Some other great Nepali foods are roti and momos—fried or steamed, veg or buff (yes, buffalo meat).

There are literally thousands of great restaurants in every part of Nepal including around the Himalayas where you can eat Italian, Mexican, Indian, American, Chinese or Nepali foods. As you eat dinner at the local restaurants, you can view the mountains, you can see the traditional dancing and singing as well as the movie along with taste of typical nepali food.
We always need food, clothes, medicine (general medical supplies like band-aids, antiseptic, cough syrup, etc), books, stationery & office supplies, English as a Second Language (ESL) materials, children’s video/cassette/CD and emergency fund when they happen to sick.
Our organization’s Chairperson Mr. Rajendra Nhisutu has 4th stories with many rooms one home and Resort nearby in Kathmandu as per the guests desire they can stay with him and we have also comfortable guesthouses which are attached to our Himalaya Mt. Everest Tower ‘HIMET’ in Kathmandu and Home stay around the our mission field beside the most beautiful and breathtaking Himalayas areas of Nepal.
Rajendra Nhisutu as the Chair and director of the organization his job is to help shape the strategic direction of Nepal Mission of HIMET. He assists with local remote schools and comminities do fundraising and reports to the General Conference and Board Committee
The leadership of HIMET consists of three peopele in different communities who are responsible for our children mission. They handle all of our works including educational works on community. All three assist one another as needed. They are a terrific whole hearted team. You can read more about them on the page.
Yes! we’ve volunteers team separately for mountaineering activity they’re linked with our trekking agency and we help you to get excited reaching to the most beautiful Himalayas and Everest, Annapurna, Kanchanjunga base Camps along with our mission field and remote villages of Nepal too.
No. currently We only work with the existing infrastructure (i.e. schools, teachers and curriculum) and focus on addressing the financial barriers to education by providing help for hopeless and forgotten children of Nepal with comprehensive academic scholarships.
Same curriculum as any other Nepalese children are getting. HIMET’s focus is not about amending, correcting or improving Nepal’s curriculum.
Nepal Mission is Community Base Organization (CBO). We work with communities to ensure that the children do not participate in child labour and is not subject to exploitation in any way.
All schools that HIMET works with must sign a Memorandum of Understanding stating that under no circumstances will any form of child abuse or corporal punishment be tolerated against any children at the school.
